Babette Workshops
Artisan Bread
Artisan bread, or sourdough bread, is a culinary jewel to which few of us are accustomed and yet is easily within our reach. In Spain, unlike other countries such as Germany or the United States, artisan bread is difficult to find, and even the breads sold in health food shops are far removed from the breads that can be baked at home with sourdough and organic flour.
Sprouts
Sprouts are a fresh and organic product that we can acquire in a simple and cheap way. We can enjoy the luxury of gathering the crop ourselves immediately before serving them. These seeds are small drops of gold overflowing with flavour. And they are filling and full of energy!
Fermented foods
Fermented foods are ideal for home production. Just as with wine and beer, fermented foods are something to which our palate needs to get accustomed, an acquired taste. The dividends are vast, not only for the originality of their taste, but also due to the positive effects they have on our health. Sourkraut, Kimchi, and water and milk Kefir are just some of the fermented produce that you will learn to prepare with organic ingredients.
Raw Food
In these workshops we aim to introduce you to an alternative culinary world in which the cooker remains switched off and the food is eaten raw, conserving its nutritional value along with the purety of its flavour and aroma. The advantages are not only nutritional and gastronomic: this is a very simple system of cooking that allows us to prepare delicious dishes in just a few minutes.
Seaweeds
These workshops open the doors to a new world of flavours from the sea thanks to a wonderful product found in the Galician coast: weeds from the bottom of the sea. You will learn to prepare them in various ways (raw, fermented, cooked and marinated), familiarising yourself with their distinctive varieties. We will also introduce you to Cochayuyo, a seaweed from the coast of Chile that has incredible flavour and texture.
